Using the Energy Action Team's already established branding, I compartmentalized blocks of content to create a clear visual system. These blocks were then used to make a pattern with icons and photography on the intro and conclusion spreads. With different dominant colors to make each case study unique within the system, the color strips on the covers act as a preview of the progression the reader will see in the interior of the booklet. Working through multiple format and content changes, as well as printer issues, this project was an important lesson for the flexibility needed as a designer.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second edition of Energy at Work was distributed digitally instead of being printed as a booklet and handed out like the first edition. In yet another format change, I converted the case studies to single page formats to make them easier to read as digital PDFs on a screen.
